Kevin Yates has a wealth of work experience. kevin began their career in 2005 as an Office Assistant at Rutgers University Graduate Admissions Office, where they reviewed student applications, sent out application rejections, admission letters, and graduate advertising booklets, and collected and organized student information for applications. kevin also worked as a Student Safety Assistant at Rutgers University, where they signed in guests of students in dormitories, halted and/or denied entry to suspicious people entering the dormitories, and reported any bad or suspicious behavior within the dormitory. In 2008 and 2009, they worked as a Summer Intern at Mutual of America, where they completed and reviewed 401k, 403b, and other IRS Forms for clients of Mutual of America, communicated with Field Office workers and clients if there was a fee or misunderstanding on their IRS Form(s), and communicated with the primary benefactors of insurance plans. In 2011, they worked as an Associate Clinical Data Programmer at Client Associated Businesses, Inc., where they built clinical databases to store and collect data of clinical trails around the world, created pages in Oracle which will collect data from clinic, and used SQL to create procedures to analyze the information collected from the clinics. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Technical Coordinator at Keefe Commissary Network and, from 2016 to present, they have worked as an Application Support Engineer at Portfolio BI, where they determine the root cause of platform incidents, liaises with other developers and product owners on corrective actions or viable workarounds to resolve incidents, and re-creates, analyses, troubleshoots, and diagnoses incidents relating to the database platforms.

Kevin Yates obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University between 2005 and 2010. In November 2014, they obtained a Coursera Verified Certificate for Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems. In November 2010, they obtained an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer certification from Oracle.
