Lloyd DeWitt is the Janet and Richard Geary Curator of European & American Art Pre-1930 at the Portland Art Museum since February 2024. Prior to this, Lloyd served as Senior Curator and Irene Leache Curator of European Art at the Chrysler Museum of Art from April 2016 to February 2024 and held various curatorial and academic roles at institutions including Old Dominion University, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Lloyd's academic background includes a PhD in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation from the University of Maryland, as well as an MA in the same field from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a BA in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of Guelph. Additional educational credentials include a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Ryerson University and participation in a workshop on Palladian Architecture at the Palladio Museum.
