Mary Weaver Chapin is an accomplished art historian and curator, currently serving as the Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Portland Art Museum since March 2012. In addition, Mary holds the position of President at the Print Council of America Inc from June 2021 to May 2025. Previously, Mary was the Associate Curator of Prints & Drawings at the Milwaukee Art Museum from January 2005 to March 2012, and held roles as an Andrew W. Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow and Research Assistant at The Art Institute of Chicago from 1999 to 2004. Early career experience includes a curatorial fellowship at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1996 to 1997. Mary Weaver Chapin earned a PhD and MA in Art History from New York University-Institute of Fine Arts, and a BA in Art History from Wellesley College.
