Rachel Record has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Rachel started their career as a Gallery Associate at R.B. Ravens Gallery, where they assisted with organizing shows, inventorying, and managing databases. Rachel then worked as an Undergraduate Tutor at Claremont Colleges while being self-employed. After that, they interned as an Exhibitions Registrar at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Rachel then became a Consultant for the Creative Advocacy Network before joining the Portland Art Museum as a Development Associate. Rachel then moved on to the Northwest Film Center, where they served as a Development Manager and later became a Co-Interim Director. Currently, Rachel holds the position of Head of Grants and Foundation Relations at the Portland Art Museum and has recently been appointed as the Head of Partnerships.
Rachel Record completed their undergraduate education from 2002 to 2006, earning an A.B. degree in Art History and French Civilization from Brown University. Rachel took a break before pursuing further studies and returned to academics in 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they attended the Drucker School of Management, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Arts Management. Additionally, in 2004 and 2005, Rachel spent a year at Universite de Lyon II, focusing on histoire de l'art (art history), although no specific degree was mentioned for this period.
