Mark Stell

Managing Partner at Portland Coffee Roasters

Mark Stell has had a long career in the coffee industry. Mark began in 1993 as the Owner of Abruzzi Caffe. In 1996, they became the Managing Partner and Founder of Portland Coffee Roasters. In 2006, they joined the SCAA Sustainability Council as a Council Member. In 2010, they were the Co Founder and Member of the Ngorongoron Coffee Group, as well as the Founder of Portland Global Initiatives. In 2015, they became the President of the Oregon Coffee Board, a trade group focused on the promotion of Oregon Coffee products to the consumer. In 2017, they became the Founder of Bird Creek Distillery. In 2022, they joined the Board of Trustees of the Portland Japanese Garden, whose mission is to Inspire Harmony and Peace.

Mark Stell attended St. Lawrence Seminary from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a college prep degree. Mark then attended the University of Dayton from 1985 to 1989 and Portland State University from 1991 to 1992.
