Joel Chacha

Joel Chacha, MPRSK, MMSK, is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public relations and strategic communications across Africa. Currently serving as Director at Portland since March 2023, Joel leads the African regional hub, providing strategic insights and advising multinational clients. As a chairman of various committees within the Marketing Society of Kenya and the Public Relations Society of Kenya, Joel has demonstrated leadership in evaluating marketing campaigns and formulating media strategies. Previously, Joel held significant roles at Tell-Em Public Relations (EA) and Ogilvy Public Relations, enhancing operational growth and managing high-profile client accounts. With a strong academic background, including a Master's degree in Strategic Corporate Communication from United States International University - Africa, Joel is recognized for expertise in media relations, crisis management, and strategic development in public relations.
