Phil Sawyer

Phil Sawyer has extensive experience in strategic communications, particularly within the healthcare sector. As a Partner at Portland since July 2013, Phil leads the Health practice, overseeing a team of over 25 specialists in public relations, public affairs, and policy. Prior to this role, Phil served as a senior consultant at a leading UK communications agency, advising high-profile healthcare clients on various aspects of strategic communications. Previous positions include key roles at Westminster City Council, Central Office of Information, and the Cabinet Office, where responsibilities ranged from managing digital marketing campaigns to developing government branding. Phil holds a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the University of Reading.
