David Solondz

Board Member at Portland Jewish Academy

David is a family physician and has been on staff with Providence Medical Center since 2009. Originally from New Jersey, he spent several years in Boston as a double Jumbo to earn his B.S. in Engineering followed by his M.D. degree at Tufts University. David relocated to Portland in 2005 to complete his medical residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University.

He is a founding member of BOOST Oregon, a local non-profit organization with national recognition aimed at improving public education about immunizations. He has served as an active board member of BOOST Oregon since 2015. During the recent Covid-19 pandemic, David has served on the PJA Medical Advisory Team.

Hailing from the East Coast and attending a Jewish day school himself through high school, David is always on the hunt for a good bagel and Jewish Deli. He has been known to boil up some of his own bagels or smoke his own pastrami.
