Ashleigh McKown has over a decade of experience in philanthropy and event management, serving as the Director of Philanthropy at the Portland Museum of Art since December 2015. In this role, Ashleigh oversees the operations of the philanthropy department, develops annual fundraising strategies, and manages a portfolio of 200 corporate and individual donors. Prior to this, Ashleigh held positions including Director of Donor Relations and Special Events and Donor Events Coordinator at the same museum, where responsibilities included designing stewardship plans and executing numerous events annually. Earlier experience includes roles as Sales Manager at Harraseeket Inn, Event Planner at Black Tie Catering Co., Manager at Cloud 9 Day Spa, and Café Manager/Director of Operations at Something Classic. Ashleigh holds a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Entrepreneurship from Johnson & Wales University.
