Bert Kolde

Vice Chair at Portland Trail Blazers

Bert Kolde serves as the Vice Chair of the Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Seahawks and is the Executive Vice President of Sports Strategy and Operations at Vulcan Inc., where he oversees the long-term strategy and business operations of the teams and their affiliates.

Kolde was named Vice-Chairman of the Portland Trail Blazers in 1988. He played an instrumental role in Paul Allen’s purchase of the Trail Blazers and works closely with Jody Allen on all Trail Blazers-related matters. Kolde also spearheaded the creation of Vulcan Sports and Entertainment and serves as an Alternate Governor on the NBA Board of Governors.

Kolde grew up in Seattle and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Washington State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Washington. Kolde and his wife Alison have four sons.
