Blake Messina has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Blake started their career as a Sports Intern at the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission, where they managed and facilitated the annual Greater Wichita Sports Banquet. Blake then joined the Hutchinson Community College as a Sports Information Department Assistant.
Blake also worked as an Event Staff Intern at Hartman Arena, where they planned and managed the inaugural Kansas State High School Class 4A Division II Basketball Tournament. Blake later became an Account Executive at the Wichita Wingnuts Baseball, exceeding group sales quotas for the 2014 season.
Blake then joined the Wichita State University as a Media Relations Graduate Assistant, where they served as the primary media contact for various sports teams and maintained statistical records. Blake later worked as an Admissions Representative, providing customer service and building relationships with stakeholders.
Blake then transitioned into the professional basketball industry, working as a Communications & Publications Intern for the Memphis Grizzlies, where they monitored games and assisted with content creation. Blake then joined the Oklahoma City Thunder as an Account Manager, servicing full season ticket member accounts and planning exclusive events.
Currently, Blake is working as an Account Executive for Season Ticket Services at the Portland Trail Blazers @ the Rose Quarter.
Blake Messina has a strong educational background in the field of Sport Management. They obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Wichita State University, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts degree at Hutchinson Community College, during the years 2011 to 2013.
After their undergraduate studies, Blake Messina pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in Sport Management from Wichita State University, which they received between 2015 and 2017.
In addition to their formal education, Blake Messina has obtained two certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. In January 2023, they completed the "Disney's Approach to Quality Service" certification from the Disney Institute. They also completed the "Modern Ticketing Essentials: Beyond the Ticket" certification offered by Front Office Sports in September 2022.
