Charles Boyle

Charles Boyle currently serves as the Director of Public Affairs for the Portland Trail Blazers, a position held since June 2024. Prior to this role, Charles was a Senior Principal Communications Consultant at Portland General Electric from February 2023 to June 2024. Charles has extensive experience in communications, having worked as the Deputy Communications Director and Press Secretary for the Office of Governor Kate Brown from September 2019 to January 2023, and as a Public Information Officer for the Municipality of Anchorage from November 2017 to September 2019. Earlier in the career, Charles was the Government Relations & Community Outreach Director for NEA-Alaska and served as a Legislative Aide for the Alaska State Legislature. A background in journalism includes a role as a Political Reporter for the Alaska Budget Report and involvement in various political campaigns as a political organizer and fundraiser. Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from The Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
