Rachel Nelson

Rachel Nelson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in clinical research and project management. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Research at Portland VA Research Foundation Inc since April 2019, Rachel is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing research projects, establishing strategic visions for the Operative Care Research Department, and managing research trials in oncology, dermatology, and operative care. Prior roles include Clinical Research Coordinator at Rothman Institute and Portland VA, overseeing daily clinical trial activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies. Additionally, Rachel contributed to colorectal cancer research at Thomas Jefferson University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
