Jonathan Carton

Jonathan Carton has extensive experience in operations management within the maritime industry, specifically at Ports America since 2015. As Operations Manager III, Jonathan has held several key positions, including leading discharge and load-out operations for container vessels at the ITS Long Beach and managing yard operations at the West Basin Container Terminal. Currently serving as Rail Manager, Jonathan oversees coordination of inbound and outbound train operations at WBCT. Previous roles have involved managing various operations across multiple ports in California and conducting rotations in labor dispatch, vessel planning, and yard/rail operations. Jonathan began the professional journey as a Superintendent Intern at Ports America, focusing on terminal operations during summer internships. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies and Maritime Affairs from California State University Maritime Academy.
