Lauren O'Neill has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to 2023. Lauren started their career as a Recruitment Consultant at Quinn Staff Recruiters and later worked as an HR Administrator at Re:Sources and Bircham Dyson Bell. In 2012, they joined Noel Leeming Group as a Recruitment Advisor, where they managed the recruitment process and ensured compliance with policies and legislation. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at Oceania Healthcare as an HR Advisor, where they provided generalist HR advice, supported HR managers with various tasks, and implemented HR projects. In 2015, they joined Fletcher Steel as an HR Advisor, and in 2017, they moved to Ports of Auckland, initially working as a Business Partner - People and Capability and later transitioning to the role of Senior People and Culture Business Partner.

Lauren O'Neill completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from The University of Auckland between 2004 and 2006. Lauren then went on to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Administration with a focus on Human Resources Management and Services at Massey University from 2012 to 2014.
