Bruno Lanvin serves as the President of the Descartes Institute For the Future since September 2023 and is a Co-founder and Advisor at the Portulans Institute. Previously, Bruno was the President of the Smart City Observatory at IMD and a Distinguished Fellow at INSEAD. Bruno held various significant roles, including Commissioner at the Broadband Commission and Board Member at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre of Government Innovation, ICANN, and IDA Singapore. Bruno’s career spans prominent positions within global organizations, such as Chairman of the Global Advisory Council on the Future of Government at the World Economic Forum. Bruno’s educational background includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, an MBA from HEC Paris, and a certificate in Smart Cities from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
