Yvo Saanen is a seasoned professional in the fields of logistics and maritime economics, currently serving as the Managing Director at Portwise since November 2022. With extensive teaching experience at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Yvo instructs international students in container terminal design and has previously lectured at Lloyd's Maritime Academy and Delft University of Technology. Yvo has held significant roles in the port consultancy sector as the Commercial Director and owner of TBA Netherlands, responsible for global sales. Additionally, Yvo contributed to academia as a member of the Advisory Board of Faculty TBM at TU Delft and has engaged in research focused on automated container terminals. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Simulation of Container Terminals and an MSc in Logistics Engineering, both from Delft University of Technology.
