James Breen

James Breen has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering and development industry. James began their career as a Web Developer at Plexus in 1998, before moving to Infoworks in 2002. In 2003, they joined Charles Russell LLP as a Senior Web Developer, where they were part of the team that developed the company's first Intranet and introduced workflow systems and an enterprise search capability. In 2009, they joined Business Access LLC as a Senior Web Developer, and in 2011 they moved to Populus Financial Group as a Senior UI Developer, where they led the modernization and re-architecture of a lending platform from several .NET WebForms applications into a single ASP.NET MVC C# application. In 2012, they returned to Business Access LLC as their CTO, where they led their application development and infrastructural teams. In 2016, they rejoined Populus Financial Group as their Director of Application Development, where they created business cases for and enacted the creation of departments to aid in the streamlining of the SDLC and to further Agile adoption. In 2021, they joined Posh Technologies as their Director of Software Engineering and Engineering Manager, and Horizontal Digital as their Senior Technology Lead.

James Breen attended Eastbourne College of Arts & Technology from 1996 to 1998, where they studied Media Production.
