Carolyn Nielsen

Carolyn Nielsen, E.I.T. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Carolyn started their career as a Test Lab Engineering Intern at Suffolk County Department of Public Works in 2015, where they performed industry standard testing on construction materials. In 2016, they worked as a Construction Project Management Intern for the same department, gaining inspection experience on county projects.

In 2017, Carolyn interned at L.K. McLean Associates, P.C., where they learned surveying basics and utilized GIS mapping with AutoCAD for project proposals. The following year, they played professional women's lacrosse for the Philadelphia Force in the United Women's Lacrosse League and won the 2018 championship.

Carolyn joined Posillico as an intern in 2018 before transitioning to a Project Engineer role in 2020. Carolyn then served as the Divisional Engineering Manager from July 2022 to October 2023 and later became the Director of Project Controls in September 2023.

Prior to their engineering career, Carolyn was a NCAA Division I Student Athlete, playing women's lacrosse and soccer at Hofstra University and Stony Brook University from 2014 to 2018.
