JJ Allaire

JJ Allaire is a prominent entrepreneur and technology leader with a significant track record in software development and innovation. As the Founder and Executive Chairman of Posit PBC since 2010, Allaire developed and launched RStudio, an IDE for the R statistical computing language, and contributed to the R interface for TensorFlow and Keras. Previously, Allaire founded FitNow, where the successful Lose It! app was created, achieving over 8 million downloads. A Principal Architect at Microsoft, Allaire led the integration of the Onfolio team and designed Windows Live Writer. Allaire also founded Onfolio and served as CEO, designing major versions of its software for web information management, and was instrumental in the development and leadership of Allaire Corp, where ColdFusion was created. Allaire holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Economics from Macalester College.
