Mike Cherba

Mike Cherba is a highly experienced software engineer currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at Positron AI since May 2023. Prior to this role, Mike held various positions at Groq, including Senior Staff Systems Software Engineer and ML Systems Software Applications Engineer, from October 2019 to May 2023. Mike's experience also includes serving as Staff Applications Engineer at Marvell Semiconductor and Senior Lead System Applications Engineer at Cavium Inc, with significant contributions to hardware design and modular data-path code for the IntellaFlex Packet Controller E04-1 blade. Mike began a technical career in 2003 with roles at Cavium Networks and Embedded Performance Inc, focusing on system design, debugging, and customer education. Mike earned a BS with honors in Computer Science from the University of Oregon, where studies were completed in 2011, following earlier education at the University of Michigan from 1996 to 2000.
