Camille Van Assel has eight years of work experience. In 2015, they worked as a Student Worker at Boiron France. In 2016, they completed a Research Internship at Université de Montréal - École Polytechnique de Montréal, where they developed functions for image processing in the SCT Toolbox, worked on an automatic detection of the spinal cord using deep learning techniques, and estimated and corrected the partial volume effect on brain MRI images. In 2017, they completed a Data Science Internship at Philips, where they implemented an algorithm that detected and classified medical device alarm sounds in hospitals. In 2018, they worked at Babylon Health as a Software Engineer and a Data Scientist in AI cognition, where they built a centralized health record for the company by implementing a FHIR-compatible API. Finally, in 2020, they began working as a Data Engineer at Posos, a simple and personalized prescription support tool.

Camille Van Assel began their educational journey in 2010, when they attended Lycée Saint Michel Solesmes and earned a Baccalauréat scientifique - Mention Très Bien. Camille then moved on to Lycée Henri Wallon, where they studied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English from 2012 to 2014. After this, they attended Ecole centrale de Lyon to pursue an Engineering degree from 2014 to 2017. Finally, they completed a Master's degree in Biomedical engineering (Neurotechnology) at Imperial College London from 2017 to 2018.
