Bibhav Acharya

Co-founder and Mental Health Advisor at Possible

Bibhav Acharya began their work experience in 2006 as a Research Associate for the New York State Department of Health. In 2007, they co-founded Possible, where they served as a Mental Health Advisor. From 2011 to 2015, Bibhav worked as a Resident Physician at the University of California, San Francisco. Later, they transitioned to becoming an Assistant Professor at the same institution from 2015 to 2019. Currently, Bibhav holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. Additionally, since 2015, they have been the Director of the UCSF Psychiatry HEAL Fellowship in Global Mental Health at UCSF Medical Center.

Bibhav Acharya pursued their education at multiple institutions. Bibhav completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from Haverford College, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Later, they attended Yale University School of Medicine, obtaining their Medical Degree (MD) during the period of 2007 to 2011.
