Maddie Aiken

Maddie Aiken serves as a Higher Education Reporter at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a position held since March 2023. Prior experience includes reporting roles at TribLIVE from February 2022 to March 2023, and Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK from July 2021 to February 2022. Maddie has also contributed as Editor-in-Chief and News Editor at The Daily Collegian between August 2019 and April 2021, after participating as a Content Creation and Management Intern at the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State. Freelance journalism work includes contributions to the Centre Daily Times and Altoona Mirror. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Digital and Print Journalism from Penn State University and Schreyer Honors College, both completed in 2021.
