Grillo Andrea's work experience begins in 1995 with a role as Head of Business Simulation at Omnitel. From 1996 to 1999, Andrea worked at Olivetti as the Manager of Institutional Affairs, assisting the Vice-President. In 1999, Andrea joined Telecom Italia, where they held the position of European Affairs Senior Expert until 2006. During this time, Andrea managed relations with European institutions and chaired the Working Group on Access to Content. In 2006, Andrea joined Poste Italiane as the Head of Regulatory Affairs. They later became the Head of European and International Law, managing legal support for business units and European procedures.
Grillo Andrea obtained a Master's degree in Company Law from the European Commission in 1992-1993. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Economics with a focus on Business Management at Sapienza Università di Roma from 1986 to 1991.
