Alexander Thoma

Alexander Thoma serves as the Head of Digital Assets at PostFinance since March 2020, leading DLT/Blockchain innovation initiatives. Prior roles at PostFinance included VNTR Lead Digital Assets and Innovation Manager, overseeing the innovation process for DLT/Blockchain projects. Alexander co-founded Equility AG, a fintech focused on blockchain applications, serving as Chief Financial Officer from August 2017 to February 2020. Previous experience encompasses positions at the University of Zurich as an Assistant and Asset Manager at ZZ Vermögensberatung, along with audit roles at PwC. Alexander holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Zurich, an M.A. in Banking and Finance, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from the University of Bern.
