Sergio Chapa

Sergio Chapa is a seasoned journalism professional with extensive experience covering the energy sector, particularly in liquefied natural gas (LNG) and natural gas markets. Currently serving as a Senior LNG Analyst at POTEN & PARTNERS since November 2022, Sergio previously held roles as an Energy Reporter at Bloomberg News and the Houston Chronicle, where in-depth reporting spanned various aspects of the oil, gas, and LNG industries. Earlier positions included reporting on energy, manufacturing, and international trade with the San Antonio Business Journal, as well as multiple award-winning roles in crime and court reporting at KGBT-TV, Al Dia/Dallas Morning News, The Brownsville Herald, and Valley Morning Star. Sergio began a career in media as an Assistant Administrative at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
