Dana Hayter

Dana Hayter is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property law and technology transactions. Currently serving as a Partner at Potomac Law Group, PLLC since August 2023, Dana previously held various roles at Perkins Coie LLP from 2015 to August 2023, specializing in IP strategy and litigation. Dana's notable tenure at Intel Corporation from 2004 to 2015 involved significant contributions as Vice President in the Law and Policy Group, where Dana restructured the corporate licensing team and played a key role in negotiating major patent agreements, securing a prominent position for Intel in the patent market. Additional legal expertise was developed through positions at Howard Rice, Fenwick & West, and the U.S. Department of Justice, along with early engineering experience at Raytheon and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Dana holds a JD from the University of California, College of the Law, a MA in Intellectual History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
