Jakob Napiontek is a PhD student at the PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, focusing on the FutureLab Social Metabolism & Impacts since January 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a research assistant, student assistant, and guest researcher at MTU Maintenance from August 2019 to June 2020, where Jakob worked in the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University (September 2021 - September 2023) and Delft University of Technology (September 2021 - September 2023), a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2016 - July 2021), and participation in an Education Abroad Program in Physics at UC Santa Barbara (2018 - 2019). Jakob completed secondary education at Heinrich-Hertz-Gymnasium from 2010 to 2016.
