Joaquin Vicente Ferrer

Joaquin Vicente Ferrer is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Potsdam, affiliated with the Institute for Environmental Sciences and Geography's Natural Hazards Working Group since October 2021. Concurrently, Joaquin serves as a Guest Doctoral Researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in the Complexity Science Research Department. Prior experience includes serving as a University Research Associate at the University of the Philippines Diliman, focusing on coastal hydrodynamic modeling for a project under the Blue Carbon Assessment Program, and as a Lecturer in mechanics and statistics for civil engineering. Joaquin's research background also includes an internship at Osaka University, where storm surge model research was conducted. Joaquin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines and multiple Master's degrees in Water Science and Engineering and Hydro Science and Engineering, alongside ongoing doctoral studies in Natural Hazards at the University of Potsdam.
