Johanna Hoppe

Johanna Hoppe is a Doctoral Researcher at the PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since August 2021, focusing on Transformation Pathways within the Energy Systems Group. Prior experience includes serving as a Working Student at Technische Universität Braunschweig, supporting model-based multiscale simulation of batteries for the Cluster of Excellence 'Sustainable and Energy Efficient Aviation'. Johanna also worked at Volkswagen AG on sustainability strategy regarding electromobility and completed a Bachelor Thesis at Bosch, analyzing the mechanical properties of solid-state battery cathodes. Additionally, experience as a Teaching Assistant at Technische Universität Braunschweig involved tutoring in Thermodynamics and Mathematics for engineers. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Electromobility and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig, along with studies at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and proTechnicale.
