Nele Gloy is a Doctoral Researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) since March 2021, focusing on agroforestry systems in the climate-water-soil nexus to improve food security in Central and Western Africa, particularly the Niger Basin region, with an emphasis on Cameroon and Benin. Prior to this role, Nele served as a Junior Adviser at GIZ from April 2019 to February 2021, providing technical advice and managing projects related to natural resources management and climate change adaptation in agriculture. Nele's early experience includes a research project on the oilseed rape market in Germany during a tenure at Terres Univia in 2017. Academic background includes a Master of Science in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from Kiel University and a Master's Thesis in Environmental Sciences from INRGREF in Tunisia, complemented by additional studies in agricultural sciences at Kiel University and the University of Göttingen.
