Daniel Birungi

Daniel Birungi is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Southampton, focusing on leveraging supply chain pressure by lead firms to enhance sustainable business practices. Previously, Daniel served as the Executive Director of the Uganda Manufacturers Association from November 2017 to October 2022, and as an Independent Consultant with Dhahabu Consult for a short period in 2017. Daniel's earlier experience includes roles as the Information and Communications Officer at the East Africa Law Society, where responsibilities included external communications, event coordination, and IT management, and as Systems Administrator for the Uganda Law Society, managing IT infrastructure and member communication. Daniel holds a Master's Degree in Management and Information Systems from The University of Manchester, a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Makerere University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business and Management at the University of Southampton.
