Toni Schuster is an experienced professional in climate research and education, currently serving as a strategic advisor to Johan Rockström and a doctoral researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since July 2020. Schuster's research focuses on the spillover effects of climate change risks to Europe and the transition of lignite-dependent regions to low-carbon economies through projects like REBOOST. Previous roles include high school teacher at Vetterhof, production assistant at Creamcake, and scientific advisor for ZEIT ONLINE. Toni Schuster also contributed to the Copan Research Group at PIK and engaged in sustainable agricultural practices as an agricultural employee. Schuster holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economy and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
