Natalie Burgess

Natalie Burgess has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Natalie started their professional journey as an English Teacher at Sierra High School in 2010. Natalie then went on to work at Liberty High School, where they served as a Social Studies/English Teacher and also took on additional responsibilities as an Assistant Cheer Coach and Prom Supervisor. Natalie developed curriculum for psychology and sociology courses during their time there.

In 2014, Natalie joined the Douglas County School District as an English Teacher, where they focused on teaching sophomore literature and composition and junior British Literature. Natalie utilized research, data, and technology to drive student and instruction improvement.

After that, Natalie worked as an Administrative Assistant for the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Natalie provided administrative support activities and served on the Business License Committee. Natalie also worked as an Administrative Assistant at Laramie County School District #1, where they collaborated with a Special Educator and provided emotional support to students.

Natalie then transitioned to Laramie County Community College, where they held the role of an Administrative Assistant, focusing on student engagement and diversity. Natalie oversaw various administrative tasks and also trained and supervised volunteers.

In 2019, Natalie joined the Colchester School District as a Secondary Teacher, where they strengthened relationships with students and delivered curriculum that made the students consider country and world leaders in a new light.

Following their time at Colchester, Natalie worked at the Burlington School District as a Secondary Teacher. Natalie designed curriculum for a Dystopia and Modern Society course and achieved a high success rate with students.

Most recently, Natalie joined Poudre School District as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher. In addition to their role there, they have also worked as an adjunct lecturer through Front Range Community College and Colorado University at Denver. Natalie conducts research, integrates industry best practices, and creates customized lesson plans and activities to reach all students. Natalie teaches various subjects to culturally diverse populations.

Throughout their career, Natalie has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and has consistently achieved positive outcomes in their roles.

Natalie Burgess has a diverse education history. Natalie obtained a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Walden University, completing this program from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Post Baccalaureate degree in History with secondary social studies licensure from the University of Northern Colorado. This degree was completed from 2007 to 2009. Natalie also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Social Sciences from the University of Wyoming, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. Natalie'seducation journey began at Western Wyoming College, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Musical Theatre and Dance from 1998 to 2000.

In addition to their formal degrees, Natalie has pursued various certifications. These include "Become an Instructional Designer," "Agile Instructional Design," "Elearning Essentials: Storyboarding," "Instructional Design Essentials: Models of ID," "Instructional Design: Adult Learners," "Instructional Design: Creating Video Training," "Instructional Design: Needs Analysis," and "Instructional Design: Working with SMEs." Natalie obtained these certifications from LinkedIn, with completion dates in February and March of 2023.
