Steven Johnson

Steven "Garrett" Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Steven "Garrett" is currently employed by Poudre School District as a Technology Education Educator since August 2021.

Prior to this, Johnson worked at Marathon Oil Corporation for a significant period. From February 2018 to February 2021, they served as a Drilling Engineer - Operations Leader, overseeing drilling operations.

Before that, Johnson held the position of Petroleum Engineer - Completions Intern at Marathon Oil Corporation from May 2017 to August 2017. During this time, they gained valuable field experience in frac, wireline, and coil tubing operations, contributing to cost reduction and optimizing drill out times.

In 2016, Johnson interned at Marathon Oil Corporation's Technology & Innovation, Reliability & Process Safety department. Steven "Garrett" conducted research on liquid loading remediation for offshore wells and made recommendations for installing a capillary injection system to improve liquid removal and bottom hole pressure reduction.

Johnson has also worked as a Dock Worker at Pirates Point from March 2014 to April 2016 and as a Maintenance Clerk at Dierbergs Markets from March 2013 to December 2013.

Steven "Garrett" Johnson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, which they attended from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they had acquired their high school education from Camdenton RIII High School between 2010 and 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Steven has obtained several certifications. In September 2017, they passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) conducted by NCESS. Furthermore, in February 2020, they completed the IADC Wellsharp Well Control, Drilling Operations, Surface, Supervisor Level course offered by the IADC.
