Magdalena Stoeva

Magdalena Stoeva is an experienced senior scientist with a strong background in environmental microbiology and probiotic research. Currently at Pow.bio since April 2022, Magdalena previously held a senior scientist role at Pendulum Therapeutics from December 2018 to April 2022, where significant contributions included initiating investigations into probiotic product stability, managing teams for host cell assays and NGS assays, and collaborating on host-microbe interaction studies. Prior experience includes a graduate student position at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on continuous flow systems and adaptive laboratory evolution experiments, as well as research roles at the University of Ottawa in various microbial and ecological studies. Magdalena holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Microbiology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Sc. with honors from the University of Ottawa.
