Mastewal Abuhay

Mastewal Abuhay, PhD, is a highly experienced scientist specializing in oncology and immunology, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Akari Therapeutics, Plc since July 2025. Prior roles include positions as a Scientist in Bioassay Development at Valitor and a Scientist at Peak Bio Inc. Mastewal has a strong background in developing advanced oncology drugs and evaluating immunotherapeutic safety, with previous experience at Kenjockety Biotechnology, CSPC Dophen Corp., and ARIZ Precision Medicine. Mastewal's academic foundation includes a PhD in Integrative Pathobiology and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis, where significant research contributions were made in the fields of hematology and oncology.
