Julie (Brown) Garcia is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in the Poway Unified School District since March 2006, serving as both a Math and Science Teacher and a Math Team Leader, while earning recognition as Teacher of the Year. Prior to this role, Julie served in the United States Marine Corps from May 1993 to October 2004 as an Air Intel Analyst with the Office of Naval Intelligence, a Naval Flight Officer for the EA-6B, and an Adjutant and Legal Officer. Julie holds a Tier I Administrative Credential from SDCOE (2013-2014), a Teaching Credential from California State University San Marcos (2004-2005), a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence from National Intelligence University (1994-1997), a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy (1989-1993), and a high school diploma from New Mexico Military Institute (1987-1989).
