Michael W. Metcalf

Michael W. Metcalf is the current CFO at Powell Industries. Prior to this, they held various finance-related positions at Dresser-Rand, GE Energy, GE Aero Energy, and GE Power. Michael has also served as CFO for both Baker Hughes and GE Oil & Gas.

Metcalf began their career in 1991 as a financial analyst for Dresser-Rand. Michael quickly rose through the ranks, becoming finance manager for GE Engine Services in 2004 and global supply chain finance manager for GE in 2007. In 2011, they were promoted to CFO of GE Oil & Gas, a position they held until 2015. Michael then returned to GE Power as CFO of aerderivative products before taking on their current role at Powell Industries.

Throughout their career, Metcalf has demonstrated their ability to manage complex financial operations and drive growth for their employers. Michael is a trusted leader and strategic thinker who has contributed to the success of some of the world’s largest companies.

Michael W. Metcalf received their Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, General from the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York. Michael then went on to earn their MBA from Syracuse University.
