Sotiris Malamas

Sotiris Malamas is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as the Director of Controls and Grid Integration at Power Factors since September 2022, Sotiris leads a team focused on the design and implementation of advanced Power Plant Controller systems for various large-scale renewable energy installations worldwide. Prior to this role, Sotiris held the position of Senior Electrical Engineer at Inaccess from March 2015 to September 2022, where responsibilities included the technical management of control system projects and collaboration with stakeholders. Earlier experience includes working as an Electrical Engineer at AECOM and an Electrical and Electronics R&D Engineer at Rheinmetall Defence. Sotiris holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master's degree in Electrical Technology for Sustainable and Renewable Energy Systems from the University of Nottingham.
