Joe Walton has been involved in the business world since 2003, when they co-founded, served as an officer, and acted as a director for Powercast. In 2005, they became the President of the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. In 2012, they joined Project 56 as a Director and has been in that role since then.

Joe Walton obtained an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin between 1979 and 1983.
