Åse Bye has a long and varied work experience. Åse began their career in 2001 as the Owner of Regendi AB/KB ÅN&Partner, where they provided expertise in branding and marketing, consultancy business. From 2006 to 2014, they worked at Region Västra Götaland, first as a Brand Strategist and Marketing & Communications Officer, and then as a Marketing Manager. In 2014, they became the Chief of Protocol/Public Affairs at Västra Götalandregionen. In 2013, they worked as Marketing and Business Development at Närhälsan, public primary care in Region Västra Götaland. From 2016 to 2021, they served as Chairman of the Board of Netwest, providing fiber-optic network in West Sweden, and as Member of the Board of Directors at Ung Företagsamhet. In 2017, they were the Project Director of The Blue Move for a Green Economy at Hydrogen Sweden. From 2018 to 2021, they were the Business Manager Stationary FuelCell & H2 Applications at PowerCell Sweden, and from 2019 to 2021, they were a Board Member at Metrum Sweden AB.

Åse Bye attended IHM Business School from 1988 to 1990. Åse then went on to attend the National Board Management Training Programme at Styrelsekraft, which was appointed by the Swedish Government, from 2009 to 2010. Lastly, they attended Goteborgs Hogre Samskola from 1979 to 1983.
