Sangkyoon Park

Sangkyoon Park is a highly experienced mechanical engineer specializing in battery design and testing, currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Expert at PowerCo, focusing on battery cell mechanical design for prismatic cells and both NCM and LFP technologies. Prior to this role, Sangkyoon held positions as a Battery Mechanical Engineer at Nyobolt, where responsibilities included design and testing of battery modules and packs, and at OXIS Energy Ltd, focusing on pouch and Li-S battery designs. Sangkyoon's experience also includes work as a mechanical engineer for electric vehicle batteries at Samsung SDI, and an internship at Johnson Controls, where testing of seat validation was performed. Sangkyoon's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Cranfield University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Hanyang University. Military service was completed in the Korean National Air Force, where training and hands-on experience in welding were gained.
