Michael Luksich, CCI, GRCP

Michael Luksich has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Michael started their career as a Criminology and Humanities Tutor at Link-Systems International, Inc., where they provided assistance to high school and college students in various subjects. Michael then worked as an Intake Specialist/Drug Technician at Tampa Crossroads, Inc., where they gathered important medical and personal information from patients entering the program.

In 2018, Luksich co-founded and served as the COO of Lucksick CO, a company focused on R&D and sustainable product development. Michael established strategic partnerships and a Brick & Mortar location for the company in Tallahassee, Florida.

Michael then moved on to roles at Gusto, where they worked as a Risk and Compliance Analyst II, investigating and preventing various types of fraud. Michael also worked as a CX - Payroll Specialist, resolving complex payroll issues for customers.

Luksich later joined Robinhood as a Senior Financial Crimes Investigator, reviewing and investigating reports of fraudulent activity. Michael used data analysis techniques and collaborated with key stakeholders to resolve fraud cases.

Michael then worked as an AML/Compliance Consultant at Sailfish Consulting Services, specializing in blockchain and cryptocurrency consulting. Michael conducted smart contract audits and provided recommendations to enhance security.

At Six Foot, Luksich served as a Security Engineer, developing and implementing risk management strategies and ensuring compliance with ISO27001 and GDPR. Michael also implemented tools to mitigate risk.

In their most recent role at PowerCoin, Luksich worked as an AML/Compliance Analyst, focusing on anti-money laundering efforts and compliance.

Throughout their career, Luksich has demonstrated expertise in risk management, compliance, fraud prevention, and blockchain security. Michael has a strong background in fintech, cybersecurity, and decentralized technologies.

Michael Luksich has a well-rounded education history. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Criminology from Florida State University, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Tallahassee Community College from 2011 to 2013 and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science.

In terms of further education, Michael is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Leadership from Western Governors University, starting in 2022. Michael also holds several certifications in various fields. These include the JumpCloud Core Certification from JumpCloud, which they obtained in December 2022. In October 2021, they completed the Python for Data Science: Fundamentals Part II certification offered by Dataquest.io. Additionally, in September 2021, they obtained the Ethical Hacking: Cryptography certification from LinkedIn Learning and the Six Sigma Black Belt Certification - Level I from the Project Management Institute.

In August 2021, Michael acquired several certifications, including Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator (CCI) from Blockchain Intelligence Group, Becoming a Product Manager from the Project Management Institute, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from the Project Management Institute, and Python Basics for Data Analysis from Dataquest.io. Prior to these, in April 2021, they completed the Certified Blockchain Architecture (CBA), Certified Cryptocurrency Expert (CCE), and Certified Cryptocurrency Trader (CCT) certifications from the Blockchain Council.

Furthermore, Michael holds a SQL - MySQL for Data Analytics and Business Intelligence certification from Udemy, which they obtained in September 2019. Michael also possesses the Governance, Risk Management, Compliance Professional (GRCP) certification from OCEG (Open Compliance & Ethics Group), obtained in May 2019. Lastly, they have the IC3 Global Standard 4 - Digital Literacy Certification from Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business, which they obtained in August 2012.
