Russell Ward is the Non-Executive Chairman at PowerHouse Energy. Russell has also previously served as the CEO of Aspin, Motherwell Bridge Ltd., and Cape plc. Russell was also the Managing Director of Heliex Power Limited from August 2016 to September 2021.
Born in England, Russell Ward has always had a passion for engineering and construction. After completing their degree in civil engineering from the University of Leeds, they began their career as a project manager for a construction company. Russell soon recognized their talent for leadership and took on increasingly senior positions within the company. In 2010, they became the CEO of Motherwell Bridge Ltd., where they oversaw a period of significant growth for the company.
In 2014, Russell Ward took on the role of CEO at Cape plc, a leading provider of engineering and construction services. During their time at Cape, they oversaw a period of sustained growth and profitability for the company. In 2017, they left Cape to become the CEO of Aspin, a market-leading ground and structural engineering company. At Aspin, they led a successful turnaround of the company before selling it to Sandton Capital Partners in February 2018.
Most recently, Russell Ward has been serving as the Non-Executive Chairman at Formaplex Ltd. Russell was appointed by Dunedin Private Equity and helped to sell the group to Elaghmore Private Equity in February 2021.
