Rahmat Heidari is a seasoned professional in power systems engineering, currently serving as a Senior Power System Engineer at Powerlink Queensland since March 2025. Prior experience includes working as a Power System Research Scientist at CSIRO from July 2019 to March 2025, where active participation in national and international working groups was prominent, alongside expertise in data model standardization for power systems. During a secondment at AEMO, Rahmat developed advanced planning software for energy systems and demonstrated proficiency in various open-source tools for network planning and dynamic studies. Previous roles also included Research Fellow focusing on power systems state estimation and HVAC system modeling, an Electrical Supervisor position at Petropars, and an Electrical Engineer/Supervisor role at Wire & Cable Moghan. Rahmat holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Newcastle and a Master’s degree in the same field from Isfahan University of Technology.
