Stephen Kidd

Stephen Kidd has extensive work experience in the field of sales and business development, particularly in the laser technology industry.

Stephen currently serves as the Head of Sales & Marketing at Powerphotonic since January 2020.

Prior to that, they held the position of VP CW Lasers Business Line at SPI Lasers from April 2015 to January 2020.

Stephen also worked at JK Lasers as a Business Development professional from October 2013 to April 2015, and at EM4/Gooch & Housego as a Business Development professional from January 2009 to October 2013.

Stephen served as the Director of Optics Consulting Ltd from November 2007 to December 2011.

Before that, they held various roles at Thorlabs, including Business Unit Leader from April 2006 to November 2007 and General Manager from April 2004 to March 2006.

Stephen'scareer started at Melles Griot Ltd, where they served as the Managing Director from September 2001 to March 2004.

Stephen Kidd completed their education in Physics. Stephen first obtained a B.Sc. degree from The University of Edinburgh, from 1983 to 1987. Following that, they pursued a M.Sc. degree in Space Physics at the University of Alberta, from 1987 to 1989. Lastly, they achieved a Ph.D. in Physics from Heriot-Watt University, completing their studies from 1989 to 1995.
