Zhihong Feng's work experience includes positions at several prestigious institutions. Zhihong began their career as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Tsinghua University from 1990 to 1995. Zhihong then served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Iowa State University from 1996 to 1998 and at the University of Alberta from 1998 to 1999. After that, they joined Powertech Labs Inc. as an Engineer and gradually progressed to the roles of Senior Engineer, Specialist Engineer, Manager, and finally Principal Engineer. In these positions, they were responsible for power system planning and operation studies, generation and load interconnection studies, field testing, model validation, control system tuning study and testing, and design of special protection systems.
Zhihong Feng obtained a B.A.Sc. in Electric Power System from Tsinghua University in 1984. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in the same field at Tsinghua University, which they completed in 1990.
