Jonathan McNamara

Jonathan McNamara is an experienced communications professional, currently serving as the Communications Director and National Spokesperson for the American Red Cross since December 2016, where responsibilities include leading media relations and representing the organization in high-profile national and international interviews. Prior to this role, Jonathan gained extensive experience in public affairs and media relations through positions at CarMax and the American Red Cross, as well as serving as a Public Address Announcer for Powhatan High School Athletics. Additionally, Jonathan has contributed to various organizations in roles focused on marketing, development, and strategic communications. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts and Design from James Madison University.
